Why I'm standing

I want to build a region for the generations of tomorrow, as well as today. This is the most important term for a long time for the council as we set a new Regional Policy Statement and the Natural Resources Plan. We need to focus on high-quality regulation – a clear evidence base, proven levers and on bringing the community with us.

About me

I bring a range of experience: Co-chair of the Taranaki Regional Skills Leadership Group. A director of Port Taranaki and Western Institute of Technology, and a trustee of the Taranaki Trails Trust and Pukeiti Trust Fund. A chartered member of the Institute of Directors, with a degree in economics and master's in finance. I run my own business, with a background in policy and regulation. Six years of experience on council and chair of the council's largest committee.

My priorities
  1. Creating a high quality Regional Policy Statement and Natural Resources Plan.
  2. Review of public transport to ensure the system is integrated and optimised.
  3. Continue activity towards a predator-free Taranaki.
