Why I'm standing

Taranaki communities are becoming ever more diverse, so I believe it is important for that diversity to be represented by someone who cares for the people, the environment and future generations.

About me

As well as having already served three years as a councillor on the Taranaki Regional Council, I have been heavily involved in the Taranaki conservation scene both voluntarily and professionally for six years. I've worked with both grassroots NGOs and government departments, so I have a strong understanding of the difference between governance vs operations as well as community vs bureaucracy.

My priorities
  1. Influence central government to fund mana whenua participation in council processes.
  2. Increase and improve public transport services to provide equitable and accessible opportunities.
  3. Establish a feral cat management plan and strategy to eliminate cat predation on biodiversity.
