Why I'm standing

I'm running for community board as I've a lot to offer. People and environment are my passions. Te Whakaraupō our beautiful harbour unites us, and it is my home. Let's aim to keep it as a vibrant, inclusive and forward-thinking community. Our climate is changing, we need to adapt and do better for our moana, whenua and tamariki. Recently I advocated for a morning bus for our students, and there is more we can do.

About me

My background is in small business, science and environmental studies and I have also worked at the Christchurch City Council in waste minimisation. Over the last 19 years, I have been periodically on the Residents Association, and I'm always doing volunteer work in the community and with multi-cultural groups. I'm an appointed Justice of the Peace, and I currently work on London Street.

My priorities
  1. Get better bus services to the bays.
  2. Connected communities, from Lyttelton to Rāpaki where the buses start, we can connect communities.
  3. Clean and healthy bays by planting to reduce landslips, sediment and increasing biodiversity.
