Waihopai Toetoe Community Board

The Waihopai Toetoe Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Southland District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of eight members: seven members elected by voters, and one councillor from the Southland District Council.  This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I believe we live in a beautiful and diverse area. I would love to see our area be a place where people want to settle and value.

About me

I am a proud Southlander, I grew up in this area. I like to be proactive in our community, being involved in different organisations. I have been on the community board over a number of years. With this past term being the first as the Waihopai Toetoe Community Board. I have found it a rewarding time and would love to see some projects get over the line.

My priorities
  1. Further investigate the possibility of a multi-purpose track between Edendale and Wyndham.
  2. Make sure we preserve and maintain our special areas.
  3. Encourage people to contribute to the community they live in.
