Why I'm standing

I'm standing because of climate change. The latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report says we need to rapidly peak emissions to have a chance of keeping warming to two degrees or less. I was raised in the Cashmere Ward, and the community board is responsible for making the granular decisions that can make or break our transition to a sustainable society. I want to make sure we're doing everything we can to reduce emissions and protect against hazards.

About me

I've lived in Christchurch my whole life, including in the Cashmere Ward for around 12 years. I'm engaged in the local community. I've established a local reserve restoration group, and I've spoken to council about local issues including road safety, the South Library rebuild, and local democracy. I'm friendly, approachable, collaborative, I listen, and I want to put my skills to work to find solutions to our common problems that work for everyone.

My priorities
  1. Build liveable neighbourhoods so living in dense areas is as easy and appealing as possible.
  2. Create people-friendly streets so our streets are vibrant, safe, sustainable and accessible.
  3. Protect and restore our environment, so we don't lose what makes Christchurch a great place to live.
