Why I'm standing
I believe the North Coast tends to be neglected by our city council and that it needs strong local voices to ensure that our communities can flourish.
About me
I have lived locally (Karitane) for 30 years. My working life was as an academic at Otago University. I have been involved with many community groups both locally and in Dunedin for many years.
My priorities
- Promote our board area for its natural beauty and opportunities for healthy recreation.
- Ensure the board participates fully in future planning for climate change resilience and adaptation.
- Lobby for an increase in the board's discretionary fund to provide greater community support.
