Why I'm standing

I've called our ward home for 23 years and served you as your councillor for the last three. Now is a pivotal time for local government and our district with a suite of proposed government reforms ranging from Three Waters to Resource Management, the Future For Local Government, Health, and Civil Defence to name a few, all whilst coming out from the shadow of a pandemic under dynamic economic conditions. There's work to be done.

About me

I'm standing for re-election as part of a council that has performed well during a hugely challenging term. I've kept my promises, and worked hard for our people at grassroots, district and regional levels. I hold the Climate Change and Sustainability portfolio, am a qualified Resource Management Act commissioner, I chair the Community and Recreation Committee, and I sit on the Greater Christchurch Partnership Committee with the mayor and deputy mayor. I'm dedicated to serving our community.

My priorities
  1. Deliver both sustainable environmental and financial management for this generation and the next.
  2. Sensible planning in our rural areas, towns and villages - because our futures depend on it.
  3. Ensure our drainage infrastructure is fit for purpose in the face of an uncertain climate future.
