The board is made up of nine members: six members elected by voters, including two members from your area, and three councillors from the Christchurch City council. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board election.

  • Support for increased housing availability and affordability through intensifying in the right areas.

Ensure that those areas earmarked for intensification have the infrastructure to support the higher density housing – transport, parks etc.

Make neighbourhood streets people-friendly – made for local residents, not for motorists passing through.

  • Continue improving the urban design for the busy Restell St/Langdons Rd/Sisson Dr area to improve safety and pedestrian-friendliness.

Advocate for council to improve the quality of its social housing.

Support housing intensification – let's be YIMBYs! (Yes In My Neighbourhood).
