Why I'm standing

I offer some diverse representation, and a strong business and financial background. I have a strong understanding of rural issues, and a desire to improve environmental outcomes, where we need or can do so, while ensuring we have an economically sustainable community that continues to be a highly desirable place to live and work.

About me

I believe in open and honest local government. I believe in taking a very active role in local issues. I have previously been an active participant, and part of the governance of, many community organisations. I am fair and reasonable in my approach, give anyone a fair hearing, and endeavour to have an excellent working relationship with staff, ratepayers and other councillors.

My priorities
  1. Getting environmental rules for our region that make sense, add value and are practical to implement.
  2. Adding extraordinary value to the communities in our river management systems and processes.
  3. Ensuring a financially sustainable council despite our low population and large unrateable area.
