Why I'm standing

Whangamatā is a fantastic place to raise children, but it is not without its difficulties. We lack affordable permanent housing for families, and there are those in the community who are struggling with the rising cost of living. I would like to see a more proactive approach to supporting those in need in our community and a greater focus on providing equal opportunities for our tamariki to enable them to succeed.

About me

My ethos is 'it takes a village to raise a child'. Therefore, we must contribute to the uplifting of our tamariki because this benefits all in the community.

My priorities
  1. Introduce apprenticeship programmes for children with high truancy rates.
  2. Expedite the construction of the bike path from Heatherington Road to the mountain biking park.
  3. Better use of the community garden to provide fresh fruit and vegetables to those in the community.
