Why I'm standing

Whangārei has had some great successes in the last decade, these can now be leveraged to achieve much more. We also must face the big challenges of climate change, sea-level rise and housing. I am very determined and I'm a problem solver so vote for me. Let's get our city humming and proactively protect our natural environment.

About me

Turning visions into reality is what I do as an architect. I have spent 20 years in the profession and that experience is transferrable to a council setting. Practical things like construction knowledge, project management, building contracts and managing budgets. Also I value collaboration and understanding people's needs/wishes, and I am a problem solver who likes to find practical solutions for all parties. I am also skilled in building trusting relationships with all stakeholders.

My priorities
  1. Get people into houses by implementing the new housing strategy and revitalise the central city.
  2. Together confront the increasing affects of climate change and sea level rise with creative solutions.
  3. Design our roads, footpaths and cycleways to be safer and easier to use for our community.
