Why I'm standing

I have achieved a lot in promoting this area and making sure that we are recognised by council and others, but there is still more to be done. I care about the communities I have represented and advocated for during the last six years as board chair.

About me

Living locally and being actively involved in the communities means that I am aware of what is happening. I have made myself available and accessible by being out and about, volunteering, and attending events. I have kept the community informed about what is happening through The Woodpecker, the board's Facebook page, speaking at gatherings and posting on community social media. I don't just talk about things, I actually do something.

My priorities
  1. Getting the State Highway 1 safety improvements through Woodend and at the Pegasus roundabout underway by New Zealand Transport Agency.
  2. Progressing the community centre for Pegasus which then enables the youth initiative to get underway.
  3. Finding ways of continually improving two-way communication with the communities.
