Northcote electorate

Northcote covers suburbs close to the northern end of the Harbour Bridge, including Birkenhead, Birkdale, Beach Haven and parts of Glenfield. The seat is currently held by Labour's Shanan Halbert, who won comfortably with a margin of 2,534. In 2020, Labour won the greatest share of party votes in Northcote – 49% to National's 28%. About one-quarter of Northcote's population identify as Asian, more than twice the national average. Since its creation in 1996, the seat has mainly been held by National MPs.

Why I'm standing

I am standing because I care about my children's future. I am concerned about our nation, this is not the New Zealand I grew up in. I am standing to fight for the rights of parents and families. Families are the cornerstone of our community.

About me

I care about our families. Much of the challenges we face in our community track back to broken homes, we need to heal, restore and empower our families.

My priorities
  1. Empowering families. Ministry for families, whakamana hapu, transformational communities.
  2. Reducing crime. Effective programs like Man Up, Legacy and Youth Nation to support, heal and empower.
  3. Stop the sexualisation of kids in schools. Educate our kids not indoctrinate them.
