Why I'm standing

I got involved in politics this year because I am concerned about the direction in which our nation is headed. Co-governance is a serious concern, presenting a threat to the safety and free functioning of our democracy. Our nation is also facing crises in health, education, the economy and crime. I believe this election will be one of the most important in the history of our nation, so I felt I must act.

About me

I am a retired doctor, with over 20 years experience part-time in General Practice. I have Christian values, with a balanced commitment to social justice and to individual freedom, making me centrist. I value truth, authenticity, and diplomacy. I enjoy connecting with people at the grassroots level and hearing different perspectives, and I am motivated to fight to protect our democracy and to seek to improve healthcare, using my practical knowledge as a doctor.

My priorities
  1. Resist co-governance and protect freedom and democracy, because any other policy depends on this.
  2. Improve health, by seeking to invest in primary care and hospital care to reduce waiting times.
  3. Improve education, by addressing truancy and rebuilding effective learning.
