Why I'm standing
I believe Aotearoa New Zealand could show the world how a nation can adapt to the challenges global heating will throw at us: how to integrate care for people and planet to create a thriving, fairer nation that we are happy for our children to inherit, knowing we will do all we can to meet these challenges. For that we need a vibrant democracy with more Green MPs, and that's why I'm standing.
About me
I am standing in Remutaka because we need strong Green Party representation in government. We need a government to lead with real solutions that enable us to cut climate pollution faster, enable people to live their life with dignity and restore our natural world. I want to be part of the way we tackle the very real, and different, challenges we face in the near and mid-future.
My priorities
- Free dental care by 2024 (specialist care by 2025): good dental care for improved quality of life.
- A tax free threshold of $10,000; tax cuts for everyone earning under $125,000; a fair tax on wealth.
- Rent controls so rents cannot rise more steeply than inflation.
