Why I'm standing
I believe in being aspirational for our community, celebrating success and investing for meaningful change when people need support. Remutaka is an amazing place to live and raise a family, but kiwis are overwhelmingly sick of the status quo. I'm standing because I believe we deserve better public services, wise investment of taxpayer money, and decisions that deliver positive outcomes using evidence-based policy, data and the wisdom of local communities.
About me
I'll bring fresh perspective for Remutaka, energy and dedication to our community, policy expertise in education and social investment and a genuine desire to serve my community. I will champion evidence-based policy and use compassion and common sense of which all New Zealanders could be proud. I believe in getting alongside communities to listen for what matters and understand different views so that we can work together to challenge the status quo.
My priorities
- Deliver local solutions: fix the Stokes Valley slips and investigate the Stokes-Haywards connector.
- Campaign for infrastructure investments like the Moonshine Bridge upgrade & better public transport.
- Rebuild the economy so that we can reduce the cost of living for people in Remutaka.
