Why I'm standing

I am standing for NZ First as it has sound economic policies, focussing on business development and export. The major part of our exports is from agriculture and our farmers are being inappropriately targeted with costs and compliance related to emissions when the Paris accord specifically excluded agriculture and food production. We are also focussing on crime prevention and consequences - including gangs, health services, equality-opposing separatist agendas, and much more.

About me

Being part of a West Coast rural community I understand the challenges faced by various economic tiers of rural society, and as regional NZ is what brings wealth into the country, this is a key issue. I am also keen on practical conservation that can actually be applied without negative impact on people and economy. I am also involved in tourism and would like to see how we can improve management of internationally attracting visitors.

My priorities
  1. Restore farm and land ownership rights. Significant natural areas and emissions targets are unnecessary.
  2. Entrench equality, equal rights and responsibilities. One person, one vote, all equal.
  3. Remove Three Waters scheme. It is inappropriate, impinging on rights of councils and ratepayers.
