Why I'm standing

I believe in practical, respectful and realistic leadership that reflects the diverse voices of everyday residents. I understand the pressures families face, rising costs, limited services and the need for stronger local advocacy and support. If elected, I will bring a fresh, family-focused voice to the council table. I am grounded in lived experience, hard work and passion for our district's future.

About me

I am a proud, active member of this community. I work in the community sector, I helped found the Ashburton Community Garden, I volunteer with our local Rugby Club, the Hakatere Marae and I engage with events and groups across the district. I am involved because I am passionate about our community. I bring a fresh perspective and the 'roll up your sleeves' attitude to the council table.

My priorities
  1. Uphold and uplift Te Tiriti o Waitangi in our community.
  2. Build sustainable practise into council policy for a resilient district.
  3. Enable greater transparency between council and our community.
