Why I'm standing

I'm seeking your support for a second term as councillor because I believe we need clear progressive leadership to address the housing, transport and climate issues we face. A city is a place built on sharing - in your neighbourhood, suburb, and across our region. I bring that focus on working together to the table, and am committed to working with others to find the best ways forward for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

About me

I have been a councillor for Albert-Eden-Puketāpapa since 2022, and before that was on the local board for my area for 12 years. I have helped many constituents with local issues, especially in the aftermath of the 2023 storms when I secured local community information sessions. I have the highest attendance record of all councillors, and consider communicating about council issues a high priority – both sharing information and hearing views to inform my decisions.

My priorities
  1. Take meaningful climate action and embed climate considerations into council's business as usual.
  2. Create a city where everyone has safe secure housing that meets their needs.
  3. Grow the public transport system so more people can participate fully without having to own a car.
