Why I'm standing

I am running because the Bay of Plenty needs leaders who can listen, distil complex issues into clear choices, and speak up with courage and respect. My international and ethnic background, combined with strong local roots, gives me both global perspective and lived understanding. I want to ensure the Eastern Bay has a fair voice at the table, so together we can build a balanced future where people and place truly flourish.

About me

I bring honesty, courage and balance to decision-making. As a sociologist, counsellor and investigator, I have built a career on distilling complex issues into simple terms and speaking up with fairness. This is my area of expertise, not a retirement plan. With international heritage and strong Eastern Bay roots, I connect global perspectives with local realities. My commitment is to ensure every voice is heard and communities truly flourish.

My priorities
  1. Give Eastern Bay fair facilities and transport, equal with the rest of the region.
  2. Support rangatahi with real pathways in education, work and community leadership.
  3. Balance growth with sustainability so people, place and identity can truly flourish.
