Mokopuna Decisions

Why I'm standing

Mokopuna decisions. The decisions made will represent the voices that vote, and will future proof a seat at the table for our mokopuna of tomorrow.

About me

I believe that the table is reserved for special people like me, with an open heart for the community, a listening ear for those that are worried and a mouth for the voices that need to be heard. My PhD supports these statements as a validation of my worth and expertise. But a degree does not define me; it balances me at the decision table.

My priorities
  1. Ensure cultural safety practices, especially around tikanga and kawa, are equipped.
  2. Provide resources and funding recognising that the community is doing more than the Bay of Plenty Regional Council and must be paid for it.
  3. Maintain the Māori seats in council.
