Mayor of Central Otago
The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I believe in leading with integrity, energy and honesty — always as part of a team. Central Otago is growing, and we must balance progress with protecting what makes this place special. My focus is on affordable housing, smart infrastructure, sustainable growth and strong communities.

I'm grounded in this community and proven in service. As a former Police Constable, councillor and now Mayor, I bring integrity, honesty and a practical approach to leadership. I listen first, work constructively with others, and act with transparency.
