Why I'm standing

I became deeply concerned about the future of our city when my wife and I started searching for a first home last year. I believe we need to build Christchurch for seniors and growing families not for developers and big profits.

About me

I have a strong track record of success in community advocacy. I have won a Living Wage for library assistants at council, pushed back against the sale of council land to Wilson Parking, and spearheaded a campaign to keep Lyttelton Port 100% Christchurch-owned. I also have experience in NGO governance and small business.

My priorities
  1. Develop an urban plan to absorb Christchurch's population growth in the inner city.
  2. Install trap lines on council land all along the Heathcote River.
  3. Advocate for a fairer rates rebate for fixed-income residents, including seniors on superannuation.
