Why I'm standing

As an incumbent, experienced councillor I know I can offer competent leadership and governance skills for Christchurch city. I have the knowledge to keep Christchurch moving ahead, to involve residents and listen to their views and local knowledge. I am passionate about continuing the work I have been doing for the past 3 terms. I will ensure we are investing in planning for growth especially around transport, housing and climate adaptation.

About me

My experience as a city councillor includes chairing working groups, committees and council meetings; have completed RMA certification, financial training. I have built really good connections in my local community and also across the city, and have a reputation of being competent, fair and someone who can work well with everyone. I have one eye on what we need today and the other focused on our best future.

My priorities
  1. Retain strategic assets in public ownership including port, airport, Orion and Enable.
  2. Prepare for growth by building a Mass Rapid Transport network and ensuring roads are safe.
  3. Look after the environment by investing in biodiversity and protecting precious drinking water.
