Why I'm standing

I care about people and the communities we live in. Christchurch is a city on the rise, growing in confidence, energy and ambition and I am excited about our city's future. Serving as an elected representative has been a real privilege and I want to continue playing my part, advocating for my local community and helping shape our city for the better.

About me

I'm independent and not tied to any political party. Every decision I make is considered on its merits, with the focus always on what's best for Papanui and Christchurch. I've been a lawyer for 20+ years with a strong governance background and recent experience in executive leadership roles across central, local government and iwi. I'm approachable and readily available to the public and I'm committed to working hard to build a resilient and forward-looking city.

My priorities
  1. Focus on rates and smarter spending, look for operational efficiencies.
  2. Get the city moving again, improve traffic flow and explore options to reduce congestion.
  3. Manage growth in a sustainable manner.
