Eastbourne Community Board

The Eastbourne Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Lower Hutt City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of five members. There will be no election this year because there are the same number of candidates as there are positions.

From parks and libraries to museums and art galleries, councils can be a key supporter of sporting, recreational and cultural events that bring communities to life. Community facilities, including sports grounds and town halls, are often owned and run by councils.

  • Promote and organise recreation especially my own interests in wind/water sports and cycling.

    Support local groups such as Lions and run sports and community events such as the recent Community Resilience Expo.

    Work with others and local youth on a cycle skills and pump track in the community.
