Why I'm standing

The biggest challenges for the Far North are planning for growth and planning to avoid natural hazards, and delivering infrastructure and being able to afford that infrastructure with such a large geographic area and a relatively low population base. Focus on zero based budgeting to provide lower annual rates, improved asset management for all council assets and prioritising forward planning for infrastructure maintenance and growth.

About me

I have the knowledge base of local government and town planning and the practicality of being a businesswoman and farmer. There are many people who can tell you a problem, but very few who can articulate the solution to the problem and how to consent, fund and deliver that outcome. I bring these skills and hope that you can see the value of me being at the council table.

My priorities
  1. Focus on zero based budgeting to provide lower annual rates.
  2. Focus on improved asset management for all council assets.
  3. Focus on forward planning for infrastructure maintenance and growth.
