Why I'm standing

I am passionate about the Grey District where I've lived, played, worked and raised my family here for the last 25 years. I believe it is important people invest time back in a community and I feel I have the energy and commitment to invest in making balanced decisions today for us and future generations.

About me

I am hoping to be elected for a second term as councillor bringing that huge learning curve back to the table. I have gained experience along with strong community connections through my role as West Coast regional manager with Sport Canterbury which allows me solid insights across sport and recreation, health and education. I am a family man who puts people first and doesn't make any decision lightly, considering the impact on the community first.

My priorities
  1. Protect our Coal Creek water supply now and for future generations. Water is our lifeline.
  2. Reduce rates by improving council efficiency, better contract management and less consultant fees.
  3. Deal with the backlog of infrastructure projects that have been kicked down the road for too long.
