Why I'm standing

I am passionate about primary industry and realise the importance of a good regulatory environment, especially with regard to resource management that will allow it to thrive. I have been involved in the TANK process since its inception and feel I have a good understanding of the issues and when added to my experience in this industry I feel I have a lot to contribute.

About me

I have been involved in primary production, especially horticulture, all my working life. I have experience in the service industries, development, compliance, market access, post harvest, and for the last 25 years with food processing. I have a passion for research, always looking for ways to do better and have been on research boards for various industry bodies including engaging in projects optimising water use and understanding environmental impacts.

My priorities
  1. Ensure water security for all water users to enable all of our communities' objectives to be satisfied.
  2. Ensure readiness and response to adverse weather events is in place with contingencies and backup.
  3. Ensure cyclone recovery is progressed with good guidance and regulation on future land use.
