Why I'm standing

I registered my nomination on Day One because the time is right to serve our Heretaunga Hastings communities and the wider Hawke's Bay region. I have long considered this my purpose, not politics. I am passionate about working alongside our people to protect our water, strengthen our land and build a more resilient and prosperous future for the generations to come.

About me

I have been schooled and lived in Heretaunga-Hastings for 50 years, giving me deep roots and a strong connection to my community. With over 27 years of regional and local governance experience, a Master's degree and a career spanning FMCG, finance, insurance and health, I am also a business owner, entrepreneur, director, educator and charitable trust founder. As a club president and life member, I know the value of service, courage and integrity.

My priorities
  1. Protect safe drinking water and aquifers because water security underpins health and the economy.
  2. Strengthen flood protection and land use because resilience protects lives, property and livelihoods.
  3. Review rates and prioritise essential services because fairness and value build community trust.
