Why I'm standing

I want to help restore this council's reputation and address the divisiveness which has plagued it in recent times. I note a recent annual survey has shown that the council's reputation has declined over the last three years and I want to help put that right. I want to be proud of our council once more.

About me

I have relevant experience as a two-term councillor, and this will be needed in the next term. I can think for myself, and I am practical, principled and trustworthy. I support inclusive democracy, building consensus, not just 50 percent plus one. My background includes governance experience as chair of the Kauri Museum and founder and secretary of Otamatea HarbourCare. I am also a former council senior manager, so I understand local government well.

My priorities
  1. Sorry can't explain in less than 100 characters.
  2. Improve council's reputation and restore trust in council.
  3. Support not-for-profit groups.
