Why I'm standing

For the last three years, I have chaired the Raumati Community Board, which has connected me with a whole range of activities that are going on. I see many opportunities to help support the amazing and active people in the work they do in our community, and I want to position myself so I can support their visions and ambitions. Being on council enables me to advocate for them to make this amazing place even better.

About me

I have lived in Kāpiti off and on for most of my life, so I know the place well. I am educated in government and law as well as being a trained chef, and I have experience in business, raising a family, and all the things that make up being an ordinary person. I believe I can understand the complexities of council while representing the day-to-day realities of living in Kāpiti.

My priorities
  1. Focus on the impact on people, not just process, to ensure positive outcomes.
  2. Encourage activity that brings people together to create communities that are vibrant and connected.
  3. Apply more critical thinking to decision processes to ensure sensible leadership.
