John Clements

Chair of Katikati Community Board

Why I'm standing

I have experience in capital intensive work and financial skills to help address rates and cost of living issues which will be valuable on council.

About me

I have contributed to the local community as chair of the community board, chair of KK150 anniversary and been involved with integrating environmental and economic strategies.

My priorities
  1. Address the cost of living driven by high rate increases, with rates having increased 33% in three years.
  2. Address water issues such as flooding, storm water mitigation and coastal erosion.
  3. Resolve Local Water Done Well so ratepayers are not faced with rates of $6,000 and doubling of rates in seven years.
