Why I'm standing

I think Te Aroha is a great place to live, but the costs of living here seem to be increasing all the time which makes it hard for everyone to enjoy living here. I am hoping that I can help with that.

About me

I have deep and extensive roots within the local community, both urban and rural, and have served on many local boards and trusts. I have run my farming business for over 25 years and have a good understanding of budgets and finances.

My priorities
  1. Encourage a back-to-basics approach to council strategy to minimise rates increases.
  2. Explore a more unitary approach to all core services to enhance cost effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Ensure non-essential projects have a strong business case and provide a solid financial return.
