Why I'm standing

I am running because on behalf of the first people here to Napier (Ngāti Whatumamoa), it is important to have a place at the table. We have some experience at the table and lots more to learn, but manaaki is key for this role, helping anyone no matter what.

About me

Installed in our culture is manaaki (making one or many feel comfortable, putting others first). No hidden motives, no hidden agendas, not putting myself first whether that be for status or wealth or money.

My priorities
  1. Prioritise the masses of Napier ensuring we are not just Māori people and its history.
  2. Ensure no more decisions are made without the majority of Napier residents and ratepayers.
  3. Prioritise housing because this land was not made for sale.
