Why I'm standing

I believe I have the ability, the experience and the commitment to help make the best local government decisions for our people. I love living my life in Ōpōtiki and I have the time to dedicate to the council work. I also feel there are pockets of work still to complete from my previous nine years on ODC.

About me

I hold honesty and integrity as my strongest attributes for being a great councillor. I am committed to the reading work required which aids my ability to ask the right questions and helps shape decisions that will benefit all. I have the ability to take in "the helicopter view" which is also an asset, plus my strength in listening skills.

My priorities
  1. Ensure creating the best governance environment possible to contribute to the community.
  2. Ensure giving the best of my time, my skills and my commitment on behalf of the community.
  3. Continue to advocate for and prioritise Ōpōtiki district for local, regional and central government.
