Why I'm standing

I believe our rohe is a piece of paradise on SH35 and I want a better life for all that whakapapa to here and call Ōpōtiki home. I will work cooperatively with the council and staff to ensure good decision making and efficient use of council revenues. I will be a voice for the grassroots tangata, rangatahi, ethnic and marginalised communities.

About me

I am able to relate to a wide range of people. I will listen to the community, with an open mind, about their needs and concerns and endeavour to act on these. As a seasonal worker I have lived experience of the fluctuations in circumstances this can bring. I have managerial experience and financial acumen from running a business and being self-employed.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for those working to implement the changes required for local health services.
  2. Support Toi Rawhiti's call for council seats and more Te Tiriti based representation.
  3. Mahi with Bay of Plenty Regional Council and government for better public transport for Ōpōtiki.
