Why I'm standing

I care about the huge rate hikes being experienced and the need for futureproofing infrastructure not for 10 years but for 50. We are growing at double the national average and that is set to continue; we need a cohesive plan to achieve that.

About me

I have worked tirelessly for the community over the 46 years I have lived here. We have a family farm in Hawea and a business in Wanaka. I have been board chair of Hawea Flat and Holy Family schools and involved in the builds of Holy Family School and Church and the community hub. All of these projects have been completed on time and on budget. I expect nothing less of council.

My priorities
  1. Keep rates under control as the rate take is circa $190 million. There are economies to be had.
  2. Balance between Three Parks and CBD and oppose UIV in CBD.
  3. Stop waste and prioritise needs over nice-to-haves. If we can't afford it, we can't have it!
