Selwyn District Council
The Selwyn District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of ten councillors and the mayor. one councillor will be elected from the Tawera Malvern ward. The other councillors will be elected from other wards or by all voters in the district. I am running to give our communities a strong voice and restore trust in council. As deputy chair of the Malvern Community Board, I've seen how vital it is that residents are heard. My goal is simple: listen, represent fairly and deliver transparent, accountable leadership for what each community needs.

My background in law, governance and education has equipped me with strong analytical and communication skills, while my commitment to fairness and transparency ensures I put people first and am prepared to advocate for the community.
My priorities
- Keep rates affordable, cut waste and ensure growth pays for growth. Rates must be sustainable.
- Rebuild trust in council, which must listen and act in the interests of the community.
- Maintain essential infrastructure so it is safe and reliable so people can connect in Selwyn.
