Why I'm standing
I'm running for mayor because I believe South Wairarapa deserves a council that listens and delivers. I've grown up here, raised my family here and built my businesses here, so I know both the potential of our district and the frustrations when council falls short. What drives me is creating a culture of accountability and respect, where towns and rural communities thrive together and people feel their council is on their side.
About me
I'll make a good elected representative because I bring a mix of real world experience, deep local roots, and a commitment to genuine community leadership. I've built and run businesses here, giving me practical understanding of budgets, accountability and delivery. As a seven generation local, I know the challenges and strengths of both our towns and rural communities. I believe in listening first, leading with integrity and making decisions that put people at the centre.
My priorities
- Publish all council spending and decisions in a clear, accessible way to build transparency and trust.
- Audit finances, operations and structure to cut waste and deliver real value for money.
- Improve council culture across the board to put people before process and rebuild trust.
