Stratford Urban General Ward
The Stratford District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 11 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). six councillors will be elected from the Stratford Urban ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.     Promote walking and cycling by investing in pathways that are safe, accessible and encourage active transport.

    Work with central government and regional partners to ensure transport investment meets Stratford's current and future needs.

  • Build an interconnected right of way cycleway between all five urban schools.

    Do not support increasing support for public transport taking shoppers and revenue out of the local economy.

    Make diversion routes for non-delivery vehicles with more than four axles to keep them out of the zone between Swansea, Warwick, Brecon and Pembroke Roads.
