Taihape Community Board
The Taihape Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Rangitikei District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of seven members: four members elected by voters, and three members from the Rangitikei District Council. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing
I have spent six years on council and now want to convert all the tries to this point for Taihape. I am standing for the TCB to be hometown specific and deliver a winning score.
About me
I am a people person. I like to talk but also to listen and be part of a winning team. My country lifestyle complements my love of social interaction and Taihape is a happening place.
My priorities
- Reinstate the town hall as our civic heart. This building is the town hub and its life facilitates us.
- Grandstand for memorial park. Getting this project over the line gets me up in the morning.
- Make real what else council has promised Taihape.
