Why I'm standing

Working to serve my community has always been a passion for me. The recent flooding events in our town were eye-opening as I realised the need for a more organised community approach in emergency situations. The strength of our community inspired me, with many local businesses and individuals coming together. It is this show of strength that I want to continue to grow as we stand stronger together.

About me

Being a teacher has given me patience, empathy and a drive for change. I will bring fresh energy to the council table and defend the interests of our young people. Previously I worked in commercial and residential property. This experience gave me insight in property transactions, land development and land management. I will carry the voices of the community into the council room. I am forward-focused; I believe in listening first and leading with integrity.

My priorities
  1. Future-proof community and infrastructure to build resilience.
  2. Foster a community where neighbours support each other, businesses thrive and all feel connected.
  3. Conserve precious resources, reduce emissions and preserve the beauty of Tasman District.
