The Te Awamutu and Kihikihi Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Waipa District Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of seven members: five members elected by voters, including Four members from your area, and two members from the Waipa District council. My skills are suited to the community board. I am an environmental lawyer with two first class honours degrees. I have extensive experience in reading a wide range of material, extracting key information, providing succinct and clear recommendations, and making good decisions. I also have great soft skills and am a great listener which are key in engaging with the community.

My priorities
  1. Raise the public's awareness of the community board and what we do.
  2. Allow the community to be well represented and listened to by our community board.
  3. Ensure the community board's decisions and recommendations reflect what the community wants.
