Why I'm standing

I have been fighting and advocating for our lake, rivers, bush, and birds in collaboration with landowners and iwi. I am someone who shows up, listens, and follows through. I believe protecting nature strengthens our environment, culture, spirit, and economy. I believe safeguarding our natural heritage enriches every part of life. I am standing to protect our environment, support strong communities, and ensure a healthy, resilient Waikato for generations to come.

About me

I bring a unique blend of technical expertise, community understanding, and a deep commitment to the long-term health of our environment. I am stepping up to work alongside others and lead constructive change, building trust, listening carefully, and finding common ground to achieve results. I am solutions-focused, collaborative, and not afraid to ask hard questions or challenge the status quo when needed. I am always working for the wellbeing of people, the lake, and the land.

My priorities
  1. Implement surveillance to manage invasive pests and support long-term freshwater pest control.
  2. Build transport alignment with neighbours and support national, regional, and local transport goals.
  3. Tackle water quality, shortages, and demands by working together, honouring livelihoods and culture.
