Why I'm standing

I am concerned about the cost of living crisis making people and their families' everyday lives much harder through overregulation and out-of-control council spending.

About me

I have a long history of involvement in business and community activities. Forty-six years chairman of the Tuakau Drainage District. Approximately 30 years with the Tuakau Business Association. Served three years on the Lower Waikato Waipa Control Scheme Committee as farmer liaison. Served 13 years and was a founding trustee of the Tuakau Emergency Services Charitable Trust. Served two years as a frontline volunteer ambulance officer.

My priorities
  1. Control rates to a minimum below inflation and drive efficiencies.
  2. Review plan change one, which threatens farmers, growers and all livelihoods.
  3. Restore rail infrastructure and services to Tuakau, Pokeno and Te Kauwhata.
