Mayor of Waimakariri

The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the district and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. Why I'm standing

I am concerned that Waimakariri is getting unaffordable for our elderly and young families. We have to look at delivering an affordable council.

About me

I have a business background and have a team dedicated to stop wasteful spending and stop the debt spiral.

My priorities
  1. Keep rate increases manageable then in the second year conduct a complete reset as rates have to be affordable.
  2. Look at reducing debt.
  3. Ensure infrastructure is quality and maintained.
