Why I'm standing

I want to unlock Waipā's potential together. I believe in the magic of connection between people, organisations and our environment. I support working in true partnership to create pathways for progress, equity and environmental care. I believe our iwi voices are vital, not optional, and it is time to value them fully to build a district that reflects all of us. I am committed to collaboration, representation and transformation. About me

I come from Panehākua to Pīrongia where my tūpuna have lived in Waipā for 28 generations. I have a background in community development and tertiary education, and I am passionate about helping people reach their goals. I bring relationship skills to council and value progressive teamwork. Being a Waka Hourua member and holding a black belt in Shotokan Karate have given me discipline attributes. I am committed to inclusion, progress and building on the vibrant, connected future for all of Waipā.

My priorities
  1. Continue the good work Māori ward has achieved by progressing relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  2. Address civics information gaps within the community and progress initiatives.
  3. Keep working well with peers and colleagues for cost-effective council priorities and plans.
