Why I'm standing

I am standing for election to ensure Māori wards remain, and that our communities are heard, valued and supported in shaping our future. I believe council should honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and uphold Māori tino rangatiratanga over their ancestral lands. I focus on representing with integrity, building strong connections and making decisions today that create a better future for our mokopuna.

About me

I love our people and this place, and I want to be a voice that truly listens and stands alongside our community. I have walked with whānau, hapū, iwi and neighbours through both challenges and celebrations, and I believe the best outcomes come when we work together. I will bring an open heart, a listening ear and a genuine commitment to serve with honesty and respect.

My priorities
  1. Retain Māori wards to uphold Te Tiriti and ensure Māori voices guide council decisions.
  2. Build affordable housing and papakāinga to address the housing crisis for whānau.
  3. Upskill rangatahi in trades to create jobs and deliver housing solutions for our future.
