Why I'm standing

I'm running for Council/Community Board to ensure voices too often unheard are represented at the decision-making table. As a Pacific woman, community advocate and volunteer, I bring honesty, integrity and a unique skill set shaped by lived experience. I want to tackle the real issues our communities face like cost of living, safety and access to services while building a future where ordinary people see themselves reflected in local leadership.

About me

The Burwood Ward has a very diverse population. With Christchurch's Pacific population growing by 2.4% each year to nearly 19,000 by 2028, many under 18, I offer lived experience and a perspective not currently represented at council. Guided by Te Tiriti, fairness and partnerships, I will ensure Pacific and community voices are heard in decisions that shape our city, working hard to address challenges and put people at the heart of council's work.

My priorities
  1. Protect public assets by keeping services, income and control in community hands for the future.
  2. Strengthen wellbeing and safety by addressing homelessness and ensuring safe, connected, thriving communities.
  3. Champion diverse voices by honouring Te Tiriti and ensuring Pacific and true community voices are represented.
